It didn't take long to notice how incredibly talented Pamela was at the cello.  She played a bit while we did this photo shoot, and I was transported to my own personal concert and was front row.  The photos translate that amazing afternoon we had with Pamela, the cellist, and her aunt by her side, who by the way, insisted this is what makes Pamela so interesting and lovely.  And she was absolutely right. This was not a high school senior photo shoot, it turned out to be much more than that.  If you think about it, it's relatively common place to get photos of kids at their sporting events.  If you open just about any page on facebook, it's covered with them. It's what you do, you snap those shots when they are going for a layup, volleyball spike or a runner crossing the finish line, it's exciting and awesome! But what about the musicians who put as much love, sweat and tears into their craft?  Where's the photo of their expression while they hit the note that sends the audience into an applause?  or the look of concentration as they scan their page of music or pay close attention to the conductor?  Where's the photo of how their fingers roll over their instrument or how steady and beautiful their bow slides over the strings?  These are subtle and beautiful quiet moments that equally speak to our souls and beg for a recorded image also.  It's important not to overlook these incredible music makers.  With no hesitation, we spent a couple hours of doing just that, of cello playing, photographing and getting lost in the moment.  In no time, we came up with some pretty cool shots and had a fun time doing it. So please, give your beloved musician "center stage" with a place on your wall. They will thank you for it, I promise.
